Orthodontic Services are available at our Garfield Heights and 117th Street offices
If you’ve got a smile you’d like straightened, we can help. We offer orthodontic services to both adults and children. Dr. Frank Omerza, who works at our Garfield Heights and west Cleveland (117th Street) locations, is our staff orthodontist.
We offer two main orthodontic treatment options:
- Traditional Braces: As you’d expect, we offer the traditional braces that have proven effective for many decades, though with all the modern advances. Dr. Omerza strives for efficiency in his treatment plan, giving you quality care in as few visits as possible. We do realize that braces are not always in everyone’s budget. Because of that, we offer discounts in certain cases. You may click here to learn more about our affordable braces options.
- Invisible Braces: The last thing most adults want is a mouth full of metal. Fortunately, there have been significant advances in orthodontics. We now can use clear plastic aligners to straighten your teeth. They can even work in half the time of traditional braces. Click here to learn more about Invisalign.
Orthodontics is more than a pretty smile
Although the appearance of someone suffering from crooked or irregularly shaped teeth is to be considered, the function of the teeth and jaw can be severely impacted as well. Poor function of the teeth and jaw can lead to trouble eating, chewing, and even speaking. Both the negative consequences to self-esteem and the poor function caused by misaligned teeth are the exact reasons why orthodontists and the implementation of braces should be used to fix crooked teeth.
Braces are usually made out of stainless steel, and they gently reposition the teeth into their normal place over a period of time. After the braces come off, some choose to use a retainer which ensures the teeth stay in their new position. Our orthodontist may also use other techniques to correct misalignment of the jaw. Sometimes headgear will be utilized to move the jaw bone into its normal position. The use of braces and retainers in as well as other tools and techniques can restore beauty and function to the smile of both children and adults.
