Can I Get Snap-on Smile Online?
I want to get Snap-on Smile, but am hoping to save money by getting it online. I see one company that does it. Unfortunately, this company has terrible reviews so I’m not willing to chance it. Do you know of any reputable companies?
There is a reason you’re having trouble finding a company to allow you to get Snap-on Smile at home without a dentist. It’s not legal. The DenMat Company, which owns Snap-on Smile, may only provide those to dentists. In order for you to get it online, that company you order from would have to lie to get it. That’s not a company with which I would want to do business.
However, let’s pretend you were legally allowed to get it online. I want to take you through the procedure.
First, is the impression. It takes training to do this correctly. Not all dental assistants can get it right. Without a clear impression, you won’t get a good result. After the impression, it’s time to write the “prescription” of sorts. This tells the lab what to build. Will you know shade terminology to tell them what color to make the smile? What about how much facial bulk to allow? Or how to get it to fit your particular bite?
Finally, went it arrives, you have to be able to fit it and make adjustments. Even with the instructions to the lab adjustments are always necessary and require special tools. Will you have those?
Saving Money on Snap-on Smile
I don’t say all this to discourage you. Instead, I’m doing it to protect you. You can still get this procedure done at a reasonable price. There are affordable dentists who would be willing to work with you on price. Also, you could call around and see who is willing to do it at a price you can afford.
When I last checked, the lab fees for dentists were $250 for six teeth and $400 for all your top teeth. Any cost above that is completely up to the dentist. They do have overhead and salaries to pay so they will have to charge something for the labor, but you shouldn’t have a problem calling around and going with the lowest bidder.
